Welcome Kane!

This week, we were excited to welcome Kane, the newest member of the West Allis–West Milwaukee School District team. Kane is a trained therapy dog partnered with School Resource Officer Victor Herpin and will be supporting students and staff at West Milwaukee Intermediate School and Pershing Elementary School.

Therapy dogs play an important role in schools by helping reduce stress, supporting social-emotional learning, and creating calm, welcoming environments where students feel safe and supported. In addition to his therapy role, Kane will also become dual-certified in narcotics detection, strengthening our comprehensive approach to school safety while maintaining a caring learning environment. We’re thrilled to have Kane as part of our school community! 🐾💙
